In Pyramid Lake, James Hyde redefines the relationship between painting and photography, subsequently renewing our perspective and interpretation of each media. Juxtaposing scenes of coastal California with painted abstractions, Hyde presents layered and dynamic work. He has been painting for over forty years, and
currently lives and works in New York City.
